Races and Rides!

Yesterday Sami, Braden and I went and watched Brad race in BYU's Homecoming 5k race. The kids were really excited to finally see their dad run, even if it was freezing cold!DSC_1894

While waiting for Brad to finish, Sami found this moth laying on the ground. Her Grandma Jill would have a heart attack, she hates moths or anything with wings!

Brad finished in 21min, 33sec. A personal best for him. He came in 4th place in his age division, the 3rd place came in 4 seconds before him so he was a little bummed about that. But we were all proud of him!

After the race they had a drawing and gave prizes, this is what Brad won.........

Anyone who knows Brads family knows that if any of us wear this then we will probably be thrown out of the family!

After the race we all went to Lagoon for Frightmares! It was cold, but fun. There were no lines and it was fun to run from ride to ride. At one point we rode Wicked 4 times in a row and never stood in line. It was a blast! They have fun haunted houses set up and  different shows you can watch. We went to a Hypnotist show and the kids loved watching the people up on stage acting funny. They danced with mops and played butt drums for us.

You can't tell from this picture but Braden really did have fun, I think he was just tired by this point of the day. We would definitely go again, it was so much fun.

Great job racing, Brad! That hat totally rawks! Frightmares looks like fun...we'll have to go sometime. We've lived in Utah all our lives and never been.

Trent and I always go to Frightmares just the two of us for a fun date night. We are so mean, we leave the kids home! This year we aren't able to go but how much fun!!! That's too funny about being thrown out of the family~!

Congrats Brad, I am so proud of you!! Maybe you can auction that hat off to a good cause!!!! You are amazing how fast you have taken to this running!!

But one thing tho.......WHO LET MY SWEET ANGEL GRANDDAUGHTER PICK UP THAT HORRIBLE MOTH?!?!?!? Yuck and yuck! Litte girls are supposed to be afraid of such gross and disgusting things!! I love her anyways, but only because she didn't put THIS ONE on my pillow!!

You all look freezing but happy in the Lagoon pic. Braden looks like he needs to thaw out! That's my brown eyed boy!

Love to you all!! There is NEVER a dull moment w/ this Barrel of Monkeys!

Maybe the blue suits Brad. Perhaps he ran so fast because of his location? Or it could be that he was pretending to run from a bunch of zoobies!

I keep forgetting to ask Brad if he wants to do the Wasatch Back with me. This reminds me. Thanks!
