My Favorite Cake Ever!

IMGP9262

My mom and I made this cake for Enrichment last night  for the Relief Society birthday party. I have made a lot of cakes and so has my mom, but I think this is by far my favorite! The colors were so happy and fun and I love circles. The green layer was a white cake with butter cream frosting, the pink was a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and the yellow was lemon with a lemon filling and lemon frosting. We then covered it all with fondant. By the end of the night it was all gone so it must of tasted good. I am glad I got to work with my mom on this project and that she has taken the time to teach me one of her many talents. Now if I could only find a cleaning fairy to come clean up the mess afterwards!

I love that! It must have tasted as good as it looked. Each time you guys make an awesome cake; I am reminded of how lame my "real" Wedding cake was. I how big of a snot I was over the great Choc. grooms cake Jill's friend made. Next time I get married...-oh wait- I really don't want a next time!

Hey April! I love the cake! If I could, I would hire you and your mom for every single cake I will ever need. I still remember how so beautiful and sooo delicious our wedding cake was. Do you guys still make wedding cakes? My brother is getting married. Name your price girl. I love your blog!

I have to agree with you, that is a fantastic cake! I have worked with fondant before and it was a nightmare for me. You amaze me that you could make something so adorable out of it. I'll have to have you give me some pointers some time. :)
